Jalgo of Jillaro The Seventh Wane Adventists, widely known as the Wanies, are a missionary movement in decline. Founded in the zero wane by a visionary, Jalgo of Jillaro, the movement is dedicated to the Red Goddess being triumphant during the seventh wane. Unfortunately the seventh wane ends in 1626 ST and they seem to be very far behind schedule. Despite this the movement has very deep coffers (having once been wildly successful) and is still valiantly trying to make the Goddess triumphant on schedule. The Emperor and His government tend to treat the movement as a bit of a joke but a group with the kind of money this one has and the support they can sometimes bring to bear isn't funny all the time. Jalgo had a vision telling her that the Goddess would never be able to triumph through violent means. She preached a doctrine of nonviolent cultural subversion and the Wanies have long sponsored projects throughout the Empire and in the provinces to subvert dangerous local cultures. The movement was once extremely popular among the widows of Lunar military leaders who had seen first hand how unproductive war can be. The Wanies are masters of raising funds for their movement and attempting to get Empire officials to sanction their operations. Buttressed by their own self-righteousness and the knowledge that they know best they have acted throughout the history of the Empire to subvert hostile cultures.

Organization The Wanies are divided into chapters that are responsible for operations in each part of the Empire and its provinces. Each chapter has one supreme leader who comes up through the ranks through her ability or personality. Each chapter leader reports to Mother Matrus. All projects must received official sanction from the Glamour chapter. Membership is limited to older women who are usually the widow of someone important. Thus they tend to have varying degrees of influence among their children, late husbands followers, etc. The benefits of belonging are the sense of satisfaction that comes from doing good things for the Goddess. The Wanies do employ a lot of younger like-minded individuals though. Membership Keyword
